Ways We Give

You can give with your skills and talents, with small amounts of funding, or by spreading the word!

The NGOs featured on this web site are often small, located in remote places, and in need of help to let the world know what they’re doing. They can use the professional skills that you have and any support you can offer.

Here are some suggested ways for you to give. You can develop a project by contacting an NGO directly and offering your help. You can also publicize the NGO to help spread the word.

Giving Your Skills and Talents

Many NGOs need help communicating their work to the English-speaking world.

  • Can you help write a brochure?
  • Can you edit material from the NGO?
  • Can you contribute to the NGO’s web site or help design a new one?
  • Can you provide art work?
  • Can you help with accounting, fund-raising or strategic planning?

Giving Funds

The NGOs at Women’s Giving Tree do a great deal with modest amounts of funds. You can help by making a contribution. In some cases, your gift will be tax deductible if the NGO is registered as a nonprofit in the US. In other cases, your gift will not be tax deductible, but will be fully appreciated and needed by the NGO.

Ways to make financial contributions to each NGO are noted on the web site. If you have any questions, please contact us.

Spreading The Word

The real success of Women’s Giving Tree rests on spreading the word about these NGOs. Please send information about us to anyone on your email lists who might be interested. Our Spread the Word page makes it easy to do!

Suggest Your NGO

There are hundreds of thousands of NGOs in developing countries doing fine work to improve their communities. We are sure you have discovered NGOs yourself and perhaps have worked with one in some way.

We want to provide you the opportunity to recommend an NGO for Women’s Giving Tree. To be on our web site, your recommendation must:

  1. serve women or their families

We look forward to hearing from you!
